Current Directions

On this page, my intent is to post examples and supportive discussion of my most current work. My focus often changes; theme, subject, or technique may suddenly change based on an urgent feeling toward something that “needs to be said”. I’m consistently striving to use art to address what it means to be human, and how we as humans relate to this world and to one another.

As a professor of mine once told me, the only thing one needs to ask oneself before creating a work is whether or not that work will truly express one’s values. This is indeed my most consistent and pressing inspiration. I hope that through these images and descriptions of the process that I can give a clearer insight into what makes me tick, and why I feel so driven to express these ideas.
